The industry accounts for 1%
of national GDP.Tea-producing
districts include Maulvi Bazar,
Habiganj, Sylhet, Chittagong,
Panchagarh, Brahmanbaria,
Rangamati.

@Chaghor Bangladesh Tea Workers More than 30, 000 plantation workers are employed in Bangladeshi tea gardens. 75% of workers are women. Many are descendants of tribal laborers brought from central India by the British @Chaghor Tea Capital of Bangladesh The main regions for tea  production in Bangladesh  are Sylhet and Sreemangal.  And the Srimongal region  considered the tea capital of  Bangladesh.
